POSITION OF EXECUTIVE OFFICER

FOR THE COUNCIL OF PASTORAL CARE IN THE ACT

Announcement of a Call for Expression of Interest in a part time position.(2 days per week).

Responsibilities

  1. Fulfil the responsibilities of an executive officer for the Council.
  2. Accountable to the Board.
  3. Duties include:
    1. Administer the day to day affairs of the Council in compliance with the policy of the Board.
    2. Strengthen the relationship and networking of Council member organisations with the work of the Council.
    3. Advise the Board policy matters and on the development and implementation of its strategies.

Criteria for selection of Executive Officer

    • Experience and sound knowledge about pastoral care.
    • Ability to consult and negotiate.
    • Ability to administer this organization, with a degree of flexibility in the context of having two days per week available time.
    • Ability to manage the financial responsibilities of the Council.
    • Ability in secretarial responsibilities for the Board and in the development of documents.
    • Ability and experience in networking with organizations.
